To visit Bali is meaning to explore the beauty of it. If you go only in two persons, motorbike will be the perfect choice to minimize the cost trip. There are motorbike rentals along Legian street precisely in the Bali bomb monument, or along the street to Seminyak and Kartika Plaza Kuta.
The price ranges from USD 5 for ordinary motorbike, and USD 7-15 for motorbike with bigger engine capacity, such as Honda Tiger. The rental duration is 1 day from 07.00 -20.00, but if you rent for 2-3 days, it will be cheaper (you can bargain it to the owner for lower price). Motorbike is returned at evening, at the last day of rental period. The renter has to leave the ID card as the guarantee, and we will be given a piece of receipt payment note and a card as a replacement for STNK (motorbike’s legal letter). Local police publishes a special card as a replacement for STNK for motorbike rental purpose.
If you go vacationing in Bali in 3-4 people, you better rent for car. The price ranges from USD 15-40 per 8 hours, without the gasoline. If you need a driver, you have to add another USD 10-20. It’s better this way because the driver will function as a guide as well. Usually we’ll be offered for insurance with additional cost USD 20-30, but its optional. The price above is different from one to another rental place. It’s better to ask to 2-3 rental places for price comparation. Car rental can be met in tourism counters along Legian street, Kuta beach and Poppies Lane.
